How the heck did they get a carrot to turn purple? I can kind of see how they would get a yellow carrot or a pink one, but purple? I'm not sure I could eat a purple carrot. It is kind of like that green ketchup that they came out with a few years ago. You'd almost expect it to taste like grape.

lol...I read somewhere that centuries ago, vegies used to come up all kinds of colours...naturally. then someone decided to standardise them. So purple carrots may well be survivors of unnatural selection...
Makes sense to me. God seems to be into color. Still, I think that I would expect a purple carrot to taste different! (Even if I were mentally prepared for it to taste the same.) Thanks for stopping by! I enjoyed reading your blog last night.
Two things that are unique here. First, the observation of the colors on carrots. Who would have thought?? Second, imagine just how stunned I was to click on the comments and discover another blogger who refers to herself as "deb". I read the comment and thought, "I didn't write that." Then it occurred to me --- you have another "deb" blogger who pops in from time to time. :o) Unique -- no?
Hope you are well! Deborah
When I saw the comment come in on email, I thought it was you! I didn't know it was Deb from Australia until I went to respond to the comment.
LOL...and then when I got all these email notifications I wonderde if I commented in my sleep. Because my full name is Deborah also!!
Deb, meet Deborah. Deborah, meet Deb!
Deb, good to meet you! And Jonathan, thanks for the introduction! :o)
Glad to help!
