Believe it or not these are potatoes! I found this picture when I was looking for a picture of ruby queen corn to show you. From what I understand, they even retain some of their color when they are cooked. Can you imagine Calvin eating those?

Yes we had a blast. I have been to Riverbanks many times. It deserves a visit. It is smaller than NC Zoo which makes less walking. The Garden area is magnificent and there is the river walk which is nice. The animals are more easily seen. However, the NC zoo is better for the animals as they have more room to wander. Both are different but very good. You should go!
