Faithfulness To Pray And Reject Fear

A woman praying in a churchFor faithfulness in prayer by citizens and leaders alike as we look to the future without fear

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and Your minds in Christ Jesus.
—Philippians 4:6-7

Great and marvelous God, we praise You for how You have moved through the prayers of Your people. You have brought great change to our nation as You have answered our prayers and moved us forward since the horrors of 9/11 and the ensuing war on terror.

God, Your Word says to commit all our concerns to You in earnest prayer with thanksgiving. May the citizens of our country unite with our leaders in denouncing fear, choosing instead to stand and declare our trust in You. We rest in the peace You provide—a peace we cannot manufacture or explain—as we look ahead in confidence for the protection of our nation. This we pray in the strong name of Christ Jesus, amen.

This is the latest in the series of prayers led by the Presidential Prayer Team for the new President and for our nation. If you are interested in receiving the email with each day's prayer assignment you can click here and sign up.
