Don't Believe The Hype

Please, please, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't be suckered in by John Edwards' baby-fresh looks and corn ball sentimentalism. He was a senator in NC and was one of the worst we have ever had. He was absent from the Senate as much as he was there. The only person with a more liberal voting record in all of the senate than John Edwards was John Kerry. He spent his entire time as a senator pursuing his dream to run for President of the United States and filibustering Republican legislation and government appointments.

Another NC native has written an article about our former senator that is very insightful.

I particularly liked this quote from the article, "Edwards is many things, but 'just right' he isn't. The only time 'just right' has been used to describe him, it's always been part of the sentence, 'There's something about that Edwards fellow that's just not right.'"
