Ready for Action
I heard from Kevin's wife yesterday, and the news is excellent. Kevin's unit made it through the battle to retake Fallujah without losing a single Marine! Phenomenal! Kevin ended up tending a couple of the wounded Marines and rendering first aid until the corpsman could get to them.
The unit has returned to their "home" base away from Fallujah now.
Kevin in the big sandbox...
Kevin's wife makes no bones about why she believes that they all returned alive. Her firm response would be that our prayers for their safety factored in mightily. I am so very pleased that the mission was so successful. You can't take away from the training that these Marines received, but I would have to agree with Kevin's wife. The prayer of a righteous man or woman is very efficacious, and if I had to choose just one or the other I'd take the prayer every time!
Kevin's mission there has been successful in many other ways too. There have been a number of decisions to follow Christ and a number of baptisms as well.
Welcome to the family!
Recently, some leftwing moonbat idiot (but I guess that title is rather redundant) saw a picture of a bunch of Marines praying and raised a big stink, saying that they were Federal employees praying while on duty. That's pretty easy to say standing over here where you are not having to dodge bullets, cowboy. Put that jerk in the middle of a firefight, and I'll bet you'd have a pretty quick convert. Better yet, let some of those terrorists capture him and threaten to saw off his head with a butter knife. I guarantee he would cease to be so against prayer. (Here's a newsflash to any idiots who think that this fellow has a good point: Congress is opened with a prayer and employs a chaplain. More Feds praying on company time! Oh, the horror!)
Check out Alamo Nation. Dan Peugh wrote a couple great posts there that address this stupidity. There is Constitution 101 (Saturday, November 13) and Constitution 102 (Sunday, November 14).
Well, that is all for tonight. I need to get out of here, but I'll be back soon! Remember to keep praying for our troops. It works!
