I remember helping my cousin with his tobacco crop, back around 1980. Huge, thorny weeds seemed to pop up overnight. I told him that if it ever became legal to grow the most famous weed--marijuana--he would have to spend several hours a day hoeing tobacco plants out of it. Because the world is perverse.
